If you call yourself trying to combat racism by making nice with white people (and when I say making nice, I mean POC who have a majority of white friends and have adopted “whiteness” as their personality—ya’ll know who I’m talmbout)…let me clue you in on how often that…

It really IS very lonely having all-White or majority-White friends.

I’ve NEVER felt more lonely in my entire life. I’m not use to this. To add to the fact most of these white kids don’t seem to be use to anything that isn’t white and most come from well off backgrounds— it makes me feel more out of place. Ceiling cat send me a black or brown friend that grew up in the shit part of their city PLEASE!! I knew where i grew up in London wasn’t that nice but i didn’t realise how much better other people had it. OH! you’re going in your 2nd holiday (on a whim) with friends since starting university…k. 

Fuck being a token. 

That’s why I live for talking to Black folk online.  It’s interesting.  Online, most of the folk I associate with are Black.  In the 3-D, most of the folk I associate with are White.  Even my husband understands that I NEED to connect with Black folks SOMETIMES and how alone I feel most of the time when I’m not online.
